Archer has been obsessed with Dory for the longest time. It is one of his favorite movies and favorite characters. He chose a Finding Dory birthday theme and it turned out so so cute. He doesn’t turn three until end of February but with everything going on we decided to do his party this last weekend in Utah with our families. I knew that I wanted to serve a lunch to our guests so I started to get a easy menu that would be good for kids and adults…especially picky Archer. We are from a small town so resources are super limited so we just rented our cities community center to hold his party. We did 4 round tables with alternating blue and yellow tablecloths and then I whipped up some adorable center pieces that were SO easy! Around the centerpieces I did some Dory themed confetti and hershey kisses in yellow and blue. I got these adorable buckets you can find them HERE. I hot glued a piece of foam in the bottom of them, the crunched some tissue paper in the bottom around the foam and stuck in a Dory character plus a few images of Archer over the year. I did the double sided so it was good from any side of the table. I got the wooden sticks from Micheals and printed all my supplies from FedEx. (They are better and cheaper then Staples!) I got my 4×6 pictures printed just from walmart. They really turned out so cute and it was fun to see Archer throughout the year.
Next I had this dory table cloth that was going to be put on the food table. We did dory plates and napkins, and just solid blue utensils. We wanted just a simple easy menu and it definitely turned out so good. I love the sandwich party platters from Jimmy Johns so we ordered some of those with different types of sandwiches on them and called them “Squirt’s Sandwiches.” Next we had a macaroni salad that was called “Nemo’s Noodle Salad,” A ranch dip called “Dory’s dip” some bags of ruffle chips called “Hanks Ocean Waves” A veggie tray with “Bailey’s Veggies” and we had a adorable cupcake cake made in the shape of a “3” from our local baker Amanda. “Marlin’s Fish Food” was 3 buckets (same as I used on the centerpieces but clear) with 4 different types of goldfish flavors in them. I didn’t want to deal with cups so we just brought a case of water bottles along with some Orange Crush Soda and called it “Crush’s orange soda.” It turned out so cute and Archer loved it!
I made a adorable graphic that had his stats, favorite foods, nicknames, things he loved, etc. and mounted it on a piece of foam and it sat on the refreshment table.
We did a Dory piñata for the kids that was too fun, and made sure to have some cute and fun goody bags for them!
I did a balloon backdrop behind the food table in alternating colors of yellow and blue! I also found this huge balloon that was a big dory and all the kids loved it!
Overall, his party turned out super cute and we all had a blast celebrating our soon to be three year old!
I honestly cannot believe that Archer is almost three! It blows my mind actually, but I am so proud of the little boy that he has become and everything he’s learned over the last 3 years and not to mention what he has taught me as a mom.
