Easter weekend we decided to do a staycation at the Westin Kierland Resort in Scottsdale, AZ. We used hotels.com to book our stay and they made it easy to browse all the different hotels and to get the best deals on our stay. We decided on the Westin for several reasons but overall we loved the amenities it provided and the cost was in our budget.
Upon arriving at the Westin we were instantly treated with kindness and loyalty. They have two options for parking: self and valet. They unloaded our bags and T parked the car while they helped me and the boys up to our room. Check in was easy and effortless and they easily changed our king bedroom to a 2 bedroom to accommodate our needs more. The lobby was decorated so nice and they had a yummy dessert stand that you could purchase homemade desserts from 5-9 pm daily. They had several restaurants to pick from for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They also offer room service which is a huge bonus!
Once arriving we took a walk of the hotel grounds and it was so beautiful! It has a gorgeous golf course along with a gorgeous pool area! They had a guy at the resort playing the bag pipes and it was so relaxing to listen to him play! Everyone loved it! Right next to the hotel is also a shopping mall that has several stores and restaurants to pick from. We wanted to take a walk and so we walked over to the mall and browsed the stores and ended up eating at Shake Shack. We chose shake shack cause it was quick and easy with two tired kids! After we went back and they had a kid area made just for kids! There was a DJ, playground, smores, games, etc. It was so fun to let the kids run and get their energy out before bedtime! Our boys had so much fun at the playground!
The room bathroom was huge and had a shower + bathtub along with a huge closet. They didn’t have any cribs available so make sure to pack your own pack n play for babies. We ended up putting Wilder in the closet since it was completely dark and quiet. He sleeps best like that so it was perfect for him! The beds were comfortable and nice! We all slept really good and didn’t want to wake up the next morning but had to! haha.
The next morning was Easter and the hotel had planned a awesome Easter Egg hunt! We grabbed breakfast at one of the amazing restaurants at the hotel. We chose the buffet option and it was super yummy and filling. After we hit up the Easter egg hunt and it was so cute for our kids! They had several activities planned for kids and the egg hunt was super organized! It was something that we could make a tradition to go back every Easter! They boys loved the egg hunt and the workers were so nice to help our boys especially Wilder get eggs! She was the nicest person!
After the egg hunt we went to the pool and it was SO nice! The chairs were a little hard to come by but after we walked around we found some people leaving who gave us their spots. It has a private adult pool and then a adventure pool which is full of adventure for kids. You can order drinks, food, and water with a water that delivers it all to you or you can go up to the bar and order beverages. There is a lazy river, pool, water slides, splash pad, places to tan, private cabanas, etc. It overall was so nice and fun to let the kids play! We stayed there for a while and enjoyed our time there! Everything was overall top notch. The water was pretty warm and it was a really clean pool area.
The area of the Westin is perfect for staycations or real vacations! Along with the awesome resort you can visit many things that the area has to offer! We enjoyed our stay there and will be referring to all our friends and family to go stay at the Westin when looking for a vacation!
